Daredevil

We spent the day at my boss's lake house on Lake Placid over the Labor Day holiday, and since there is water involved, it's obviously true love for Jack. Last time we were there, he had to work up to it, but spent most of the day running and leaping off the end of the dock, and eventually coasting down the slide dozens of times.

Today, he upped the ante by leaping off the big dock all by himself.

I could only stand on the little dock in pure shock. His daddy was up top with him and I mistakenly thought they were jumping together. Before I knew it, Jack was headed for the water on his own, with no urging, just his own desire.

I had decided to leave my big camera home today so I wouldn't have to lug it around. Thank goodness for camera phones! I do wish I'd had the big one to really capture some more shots of his fearlessness, but I guess Instagram will do in a pinch.
