Classes and curriculum started today at his regular school, and thankfully, he got to stay in his classroom with his regular teachers for now.
Even though he was going to the same school and to the same people, I think he was a bit nervous about the day since we had hyped it up for him a bit. Chris and I were excited about his real "first day". Jack, not so much.
By the time I was near finished, he had quite enough and had tears streaming down his face. Not a great way to start the school year. Even worse, he had a total meltdown at drop off. Again, same school, same classroom, same teachers. Needless to say, it was a rough day.
Luckily, day 2 went far better!

I hear ya sister. However, even though these first day pictures are not what we had in mind, they are our reality and they are precious. I'm just glad to hear that his second day went better and I'm sure it's old hat by now.
He is the cutest thing ever! I love all of his faces!
